Marina del Rey is an unincorporated Oceanside area and census-designated place within Los Angeles County. The population was 8,927 at the time of the 2010 census.
The Fisherman’s Village in the city offers a view of Marina del Rey’s dominant feature as one of the primary small man-made boat harbors in the United States, with 20 marinas and a capacity for 5,450 boats. It is located just five miles north of LAX International Airport. The city is surrounded on all sides by the City of Los Angeles.
